Shawn DeWayne Hall
“I have fought a good fight, I have finished my course, I have kept the faith:” II Timothy 4:7 (KJV)
Graveside service will be held Friday, June 12, 2026, at 11:00 at the Picayune Cemetery, 8th Street, Picayune, MS, 39466.
Shawn D Hall was born on September 14, 1972, in Picayune, MS, to the late Ella Mae Morris-Hall and Raymond Hall.
On Monday, June 1, 2026, at the age of 53, Shawn transitioned to his heavenly home surrounded by the love of his family.
Shawn was educated in the Picayune School District and graduated from Picayune Memorial High School in 1991. Shortly after, he began what would become a remarkable 36 years career with Winn Dixie Corporation. Through dedication, consistency, and a strong work ethic, he rose through the ranks and became a respected Fresh Food Manager. His leadership carried him to several locations over the years, with his final assignment in Covington, LA. Shawn was known for treating his employees with fairness, respect, and genuine care—qualities that made him both admired and appreciated.
A true sports fanatic, Shawn loved cheering for the Los Angeles Lakers and the Jacksonville Jaguars. And anyone who knew him knew one thing for certain: Shawn was a Cadillac man through and through. His pride in those cars was unmatched.
But beyond the teams he rooted for and the cars he loved, the question remains: What did we really know about him? We knew that Shawn’s heart belonged to his family. He especially adored his nieces and nephews, celebrating their accomplishments, supporting their dreams, and loving them without limits. His quiet strength, steady presence, and gentle spirit made him someone his family could always depend on.
Shawn lived a life marked by loyalty—to his work, to his passions, and most of all, to the people he loved. His memory will continue to live on in the hearts of all who knew him.
Shawn leaves to cherish in memories: eight siblings, Vernessar Lee, Rose L. Biggs, Wynette Brown (Craig), Patrick and Pete Morris, Jackson Hall (Zenell), Elassa Orange (Jeffrey) and Cynthia McDougle (Deon); five Aunts and Uncles, Eva Mae Morris, Evelyn Gray, Stanely Morris, Douglas Morris (Carolyn), Laura King (Randy); two godsons, Ricardo Morris, Jr. and Caden Stubbs; thirteen nieces and nephews; nine great-nieces and nephews; best friends, Allen Moss and Derick Mitchell and other family and friends.
