Funeral service will be held Saturday, July 11, 2026 at 2:00 p.m. at East Jerusalem Missionary Baptist Church, 1124 East Jerusalem Avenue, Picayune, MS 39466. Visitation one hour prior to service time. Pastor Russel C. Davis will officiate at the service.

Ronal Charles, aka “Peanut” was born December 11, 1974 to Oscar and Ella Hawkins in Hattiesburg, MS.

He was employed by Red 9 Trucking LLC for many years. Whether on the road or at home, he carried himself with quiet dignity and compassion.

On Saturday, July 4, 2026, at the age of 51, Ronal peacefully transitioned to his heavenly home embraced by his loving and devoted family.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Oscar and Ella Hawkins.

Ronal leaves to cherish his precious memories, his devoted wife, Mary Patrick Hawkins; his loving sons; Joshua Saucier, Ronal Hawkins, Jr. and King Hawkins; his adorable daughter, Kameko Jaynes; his beautiful 10 grandchildren; a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Interment will be in the New Palestine Cemetery, 2500 Palestine Road, Picayune, MS 39466.
