Rochell “Boo Boo” Mark, Jr.

Celebration of Life will be held Saturday, December 6, 2025 at 11:00 a.m. at St. Matthew Missionary Baptist Church, 2099 James Thomas Street, Picayune, MS 39466. Rev. Van Bolden will officiate at the services. Private Interment will be in the New Palestine Cemetery with Military Honors.
Rochell "Boo Boo" Mark, Jr., a devoted husband, father, and Papa, peacefully passed away on November 17, 2025, at the age of 73 in Gardena, California. He was born in Picayune, Mississippi, to Mattie Pearl Malone and Rochell Mark, Sr., Rochell grew up surrounded by family and a strong sense of faith.
Rochell proudly served his country in the United States Army during the Vietnam War and was honored with the National Defense Service Medal. After his military service, he dedicated over 25 years to the Southern California Gas Company. A graduate of George Washington Carver High School (1970), Rochell's career was marked by diligence, integrity, and a commitment to service.
A devoted follower of Christ, Rochell faithfully studied the Lord's Word and enjoyed reading his Bible daily at the park. His generosity extended to charitable organization close to his heart, including St. Jude Children's Research Hospital and The American League. Family was central to Rochell's life. He cherished time with his grandchildren, especially caring for his granddaughter Aaliyah from birth through the beginning of elementary school, continuing to support her with school pickups through her grade school years. Rochell and his grandchildren shared joyful moments dining out and 4enjoying the park. His legacy of faith, love, and unwavering devotion will live on in the hearts of all who knew him.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Mattie Pearl Malone and Rochell Mark, Sr.; brother, Herbert Mark; sister, Callon Harry and niece Candace Harry.
He leaves to cherish his memories, his loving and devoted wife, Glenda Mark, daughter, Ashley Mark; sons, Carlos Buckett, Rochell Mark, III, Jacob Ray Mark and Anthony Andrews; brothers, Ronald (Lucinda) Mark, Sr. and Donald Mark; sisters, Leatrice Mark Brown and Gretchen (Eddie) Porter; sisters-in-laws, Jeannine Dedeaux, Doris Davis, Debbie Dedeaux, Charlotte Bullocks, Charlene Lizana; brothers-in-laws, Roy Lizana, Jr., Frankie Lizana, Rodney Lizana and Hilton Lizana; 17 grandchildren; 13 great grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.
