Richard Kemp, 79, of Carriere, MS, passed away unexpectedly, but peacefully, on June 24, 2026, at Slidell Memorial Hospital.

He is survived by his loving wife of 34 years, Ethel aka “Janie”; his daughter, Aneka Montgomery, stepson Michael Robinson, and five grandchildren.

A visitation will be held on Thursday, July 2, 2026, from 5:30 PM to 8:00 PM at Brown’s Funeral Home, 1011 Rosa Street, Picayune, MS 39466. The funeral service will take place at 11:00 AM on Friday, July 3, 2026, at New Hebron Baptist Church. 111 Byrd Road, Carriere, MS 39426. Viewing will be from 10:00 AM – 11:00 AM.
