Renette Hollemon
Renette Hollemon, 84, of Picayune, MS passed away peacefully at home on March 25, 2026.
She was born August 8, 1941 in Bassfield, MS to Owen Griffith and Edna Earl Payton. A devoted woman of faith and a longtime member of Christian Fellowship Church, Miss Hollemon was her family's matriarch, strong, hardworking, and God-fearing. She dedicated over 30 years to Ford Dry Cleaners and 10 years to Stennis Space Center.
She is survived by her daughters, Minnie (Lester, Sr.) Robinson and Joyce Eubanks of Picayune; grandchildren: Terrence (Ashley) Robinson of Picayune, MS, Scott Francois of Houston, TX, Michael (Leonisha) Evans of Picayune, MS, Darae McNair of Chicago, IL, Lester Robinson, Jr. of Picayune, MS, Henry Evans of Mount Pleasant, IL, and Latrisha Reynolds of Slidell, LA; great grandchildren: Kennedy and Amelia Robinson, Skylar and Starli Francois, Mikaela, Corbin, and Michael Jr. Evans, Jazmyn and Janae Littles, Jakaia Poole, Messiah Gibbs, Detillion Poole, Demarco Keys, and Emmitt Smith.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Owen Griffith and Edna Earl Payton; husband, Burnett Hollemon, Jr.; son, Henry Hollemon; son-in-law, Willie Eubanks, and great grandson, Joshua Littles.
Graveside services will be held April 1, 2026 at 2:00pm at New Palestine Cemetery at 2500 Palestine Road, Picayune, MS. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to Dementia Friendly America at https://dfamerica.org/.
