Michael "Mike" Bridges

Memorial services will be held on Saturday, September 26, 2026, at 3:00 p.m. at Brown's Funeral Home Chapel, 1011 Rosa Street, Picayune, MS 39466.

Michael Bridges was born in Picayune, MS, on December 26, 1967, to the late Frank Bridges, Sr. and Katie Mae Trotter Bridges.

 On September 12, 2026, Michael departed from this world and was birth into eternity. He was a lifelong resident of Picayune, MS, a place he called home.

Michael, affectionately known as Mike, was the fifth of six children – three girls and three boys. Not the Brady Bunch, but the Bridges Bunch. If you have never heard of “The Brady Bunch”, it was a sitcom in the 70s. Mike was known by many and surrounded by double cousins (two brothers married two sisters) whom he grew up with. He was raised in a family of love. His childhood memories were created in the Goodyear subdivision. He had a close knitted relationship with his great-grandparents, Bessie and Lee Ester Lanor, and his childhood friends.

Michael attended Picayune Memorial High School. He was always a quiet child. He grew up to be tall, dark and handsome, and cool just like his daddy. It was the eyes for me . . . LOL. Although Mike never married or fathered children, he was an uncle who was well-loved by his nieces and nephews. Some even called him their favorite. Mike was a professional cement layer by trade. He was not perfect and had flaws like everyone else, but he was rich in love. To some he was one person, but to us he was family.

Michael leaves to cherish his memories his two brothers, Frank “Rilo” Bridges and David “Lamb” Bridgers. A host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.

Michael was preceded in death by his parents, Frank Bridges, Sr. and Katie Mae Trotter Bridges; three sisters, Cathy Bridges Causey, Venus Bridges and Debbie Bridges Davis; grandparents, Hayes and Margaret Bridges, Arthur and Stella Trotter; and seven uncles.
