Mary James was born on July 22, 1963, in Bogalusa, LA, to the late Alice Irene James Kelley. Throughout her life, Mary called Louisiana and Texas home, living in New Orleans, LA before later making her home in Pflugerville, Texas.
Mary was a devoted mother and a woman whose life was deeply rooted in her family. She was the loving mother of four children: the late Ronnie James, LaQuinta James, Terrance James Sr., and Jaroy James.
Mary faced her battle with Stage 4 pancreatic cancer with courage and strength. On September 8, 2026, at the age of 63, she peacefully departed this life. Although her illness brought many challenges, it never diminished the love she had for her family or the lasting impact she made on those who knew and loved her.
Mary will be remembered for the life she lived, the family she cherished, and the memories she leaves behind. Her presence will be deeply missed, but her love and legacy will continue to live on through her children, family, and all whose lives she touched.
She was preceded in death by her mother, Alice Irene James Kelley, and her son, Ronnie James.
She leaves to cherish her memories, her children, LaQuinta James, Terrance James Sr., and Jaroy James, along with her family, loved ones, and friends.
Forever loved, forever remembered, and forever in our hearts.
