Lloyd Stallings, Jr.

Funeral services will be held Saturday, January 24, 2026 at 1:00 p.m. at St. Matthew Baptist Church, 2106 Walker Street, Picayune, MS 39466, with Visitation one hour prior to service time. Rev. Van Bolden will officiate at the services. Interment will be in the Picayune Cemetery, Picayune, MS.

Lloyd Stallings Jr., affectionately known as “Tippy” or “Sugar Hill,” was born March 31, 1953, in Picayune, MS, to the late Alberta Smith Stallings and Lloyd Stallings Sr. He accepted Christ at an early age and joined St. Matthew Missionary Baptist Church.

Lloyd attended George Washington Carver School, where he graduated at the top of his class. He later attended Jackson State University pursuing a degree in education.

Lloyd worked in several capacities throughout Mississippi and Louisiana, most notably as an orderly at Slidell Memorial Hospital, where he was known for his strong work ethic and dedication.

On Friday, January 9, 2026 God sent his angel to bring Lloyd home for rest at the age of 72.

He was preceded in death by his parents; his son, Lloyd Stallings III; his grandson, Cais Smith; and several other beloved family members.

Lloyd is survived by his stepson, Kelty Mark of Picayune, MS; his daughter, Angela Stallings of Picayune, MS; his grandson, Torrey Scott II; his step-grandchildren, Kelsey Mark and Kelty Mark Jr.; his godchildren, Kaylin Jones and Justin Jonte Mark; his loving confidant, Gloria Coleman; and many other relatives and friends who will cherish his memory.
