Eddie Bo Lawrence Jenkins, age 70, of Picayune, Mississippi, passed away on May 13, 2026.
Born on October 23, 1955, in Picayune, Mississippi, Eddie Jenkins was the child of Horace Jenkins and Roberta “Lucy Mae” Jenkins. He attended East Side Middle School and worked as a carpenter for more than 50 years.
Eddie Jenkins was known for his big personality, wise words, and bold fashion statements. He enjoyed uplifting people and bringing joy to those around him. He especially loved his family, dancing, fast cars, and singing Curtis Mayfield. He loved his community from Blanks Avenue to Brookdale Drive and left a lasting impression on everyone he met.
He leaves to cherish his memory his children: Jucinta Johnson, Evette Jenkins, Kiesha Breland, and Kizzie Fraise; grandchildren: Janeshia Nixon, Matilde “Monique” Harris, Takiyah Williams, Asheer Fraise, Myesha Magee, Kiara Trotter, Kendricous Breland, Dioniesha Tyson, and Demitriyana Breland; great-grandchildren: Jaida Nixon, Jaide Nixon, Marqual Harris, Devyn Ferrington, Aubrey Breland, Aria Breland, Kendrick Breland, Emerald Barze, Ahmad Patton, and Landyn Jackson; special niece and nephew, Keshia Jenkins and John Feaster Sr.; and special aunt, Lucille Waters.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Horace and Roberta “Lucy Mae” Jenkins; siblings: Horace Jenkins Jr., Cecil Jenkins, Elnora Jenkins, Willie Jenkins, Feazel Jenkins, and Kenny Rae Shelton “Shine”; and his best friend, Walter “Bubba” Bogan.
A funeral service will be held on Sunday, May 24, 2026, at 3:00 p.m. at Rose of Sharon Church of God in Christ, 500 N Beech Street, Picayune, MS 39466. Viewing will begin at 2:00 p.m. Reverend Brian K. Dees will be officiating. Interment will be in the Picayune Cemetery, Picayune, MS.
In lieu of flowers, donations and support for funeral services are greatly appreciated by Brown’s Funeral Home, friends, family, and the community of Picayune, Mississippi.
