Danisha Danielle “Dina” Dillion was born July 21, 1977, to her late parents Geneva Dillion-Gaulden and Leverne “Bo” Smith, in Picayune, MS. She attended Picayune Memorial High School and played basketball. She graduated with the class of 1995.
Danisha dedicated her life to Christ at a young age at Pleasant Valley Baptist Church. After many years, she moved her membership to Bethlehem Baptist Church under the leadership of Pastor Lewis Thomas, Sr. She moved to Bay St. Louis, she then joined Little Zion Baptist Church, after a while she found her way to Friendship Missionary Baptist Church with the covering of Pastor, Dr. C.E. Maston. There she served in various capacities as the President of Women’s Auxiliary, Associated Minister, Pastor’s Aid, and assisted in the kitchen with her “off the chain” Mac and Cheese.
Danisha married the love of her life, Walter Williams, On April 27,2013. Together they built a loving blended family of five sons and two daughters.
During Danisha’s tenure here on earth, she was employed with Silver Slipper for over thirteen years as a Group Sales Manager and at Heritage Plastic as a lab technician.
In her walk in life with Christ Sister Williams was ordained as an Evangelist on December 11, 2016. She was also a member of Sisters On One Accord, The Order of the Eastern Star, and The Retirement Club in which her mother, Mrs. Geneva Dillion-Gaulden, was the founder and President.
Danisha was preceded in death by her parents , Geneva Dillion-Gaulden and Leverne “Bo” Smith; one sister, Denise Dover; two grandmothers: Rosie Lee Dillon and Bertie Mae Lavalais (Momma Bert); her paternal grandfather, Milas Smith; three uncles: Albert Hurst, David Dillon, Bobby Ray Greely Jr., and Kenny Dillon; two aunts: Genette Dillon-Crocket and Patricia Dillon-Jones; a sister-in-law, Evelyn Sims; a niece, Imani Rogers; two cousins: Felicia Jones-O’Quinn and Taliyah Derbigny.
She is survived by her loving and devoted husband, Walter Williams; five sons: Kendall Payne, Trenton Wilson, Walter Johnson III, Justus Williams, and Ashton Williams; two daughters: Trinity (Brayden) Wilson and Shanay Lett; five grandchildren: Kolin Payne, Broox Payne, Luna Williams, Ariel Johnson, and Nevanh Johnson, a devoted step-father Joseph Gaulden; three sisters: Kourtney Dover, Carla (Gerry) Bell, and Shoun (Vill) Stoute; six nephews: John Campbell, Brennan Robinson,Gerryion Bell, Caleb Simmons, Bradley Laneaux, and Kolton Stoute; four nieces: Maria Palmer, Tonya Robinson, Shaerri Jones, and Myriss Stoute; one great-aunt: Anna Ruth Smith-Durr; three aunts: Cynthia “MeeMee” Derbigny, Joann Jones, and Louise Dawson; three uncles: James Dillon, Donnie (Maxine) Dillon, and Ronnie (Juanita) Watts; one God-daughter, Ava Lewis; three dear friends: Alicia Stieffel, Amber Antoine, and Patricia Lewis. A host of relatives, friends, and two very special cousins Kimberly T. Robinson and Zipporah “Tina” Derbigny.
