KreSean JaLee Bowens was born to Mary Elizabeth Bounds and Kelvis James Bowens, Sr. on July 8, 1993, in Picayune, Mississippi. He accepted Christ at an early age and was baptized under the leadership of Reverend Brian K. Dees at East Jerusalem Baptist Church. Later in life, he attended Northshore Full Gospel Baptist Church and Rose of Sharon Church of God in Christ.

KreSean was educated in the Picayune Public School System and proudly graduated with the Class of 2011. He furthered his education at Pearl River Community College, earning an Associate of Arts Degree in December 2014. He later attended the University of Southern Mississippi (USM), graduating in 2016 with a Bachelor of Science in Sports Coaching and a minor in Biology. At the time of his passing, he was enrolled in a Graduate Program in Secondary Education at USM.

KreSean was serving as a Science Teacher at Picayune Junior High School and as an Assistant Football Coach, helping lead the PJHS football team to a District Championship during the 2024–2025 season. His previous roles included:

• Paraprofessional at Roseland Park Elementary

• PYAA coach and official for several years

 • Teacher and Coach at Forrest County Agricultural High School (2019–2020)

 • USM Student Coach

 • Offensive Line Coach at Stone County High School under Coach John Feaster

KreSean was a patient, kind-hearted, and selfless man. His caring spirit and generous heart were felt by everyone he encountered. Fun-loving and full of joy, he was an example to many and a shining light to all who knew him. KreSean loved people deeply and shared his passions freely—especially his love for fishing and raising dogs. He enjoyed fishing with his father and friends, and while he loved the outdoors, his greatest devotion was to his family and friends.
