A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, October 18, 2025, at 11:00 a.m. at First Cornerstone Baptist Church, 917 Cayten Street, Picayune, Mississippi. Bishop Vernon Robinson, Pastor / Officiant, and Dr. Picasso Nelson, Sr., Eulogist. Entrusted to Brown’s Funeral Home, Picayune, Mississippi.

Christopher was born on June 23, 1972, in Fremont, Ohio, to the late Herman and Cora Helen Norwood.

Christopher attended Bassfield High School in Bassfield, Mississippi.

Later in life, Christopher returned to Mississippi, where he united in Holy matrimony to Yolanda Norwood, and to this union, one child was born, Brandon Lee Norwood and Christopher Patrick.

One of Chris’s greatest enjoyments in life was fishing. He loved family gatherings and cookouts, where laughter and love were always present. Family meant everything to him, and he embraced every moment spent together. Chris was employed with J&J Janitorial Services.

On Saturday, October 4, 2025, at Highland Community Hospital, Christopher made his transition to his heavenly home at the age 53.

He will be remembered for his kind heart, sense of humor, and the joy he brought to everyone around him. Chris leaves behind a legacy of love, laughter, and unforgettable memories that will continue to live on in the hearts of all who knew him.

Chris was preceded in death by his parents, Herman and Cora Norwood, and one brother, Willie Sam Norwood.

He is survived by his loving and devoted wife, Yolanda Norwood; two sons, Christopher Patrick and Brandon Norwood; two sisters, Lula Echols (Bassfield, Mississippi) and Teresa Johnson (Patrick) of Indianapolis, Indiana; brother, Steven Pierce (Atlanta, Georgia); one special granddaughter, Haley Loftin; one grandson, Ka'Mir Patrick (Selma, Alabama) and a host of Aunts, Uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
